Once cup is correctly placed onto base, display will read "0". The pauses allow the contents of the cup to settle. Then add any nuts, seeds, or powder followed by any liquids like juice or milk. More liquid can help to integrate powder. Then add your frozen fruit and ice.
When washing the Pro Extractor Blades Assembly, use a dishwashing utensil with a handle to avoid direct hand contact with blades. Handle Pro Extractor Blades Assembly with care to avoid contact with sharp edges. Rinse and air-dry thoroughly. The lids and Pro Extractor Blades Assembly are top-rack dishwasher safe.
Ensure the Pro Extractor Blades Assembly is removed from the cup before placing in the dishwasher. Wipe the motor base clean with a damp cloth. Now I am able to make two drinks and save one for tomorrow without losing nutritional value or texture! The machine works great.
Mine was definitely new- not a renewed item. I too was concerned with performance when batteries are running lower. It does a a few long pulses for you to better gather the ingredients. I no longer have to babysit the blend. I love everything about this blender. Of course, keep the little seal clean and dry for max vacuum. And read the fricken directions!!
Easy to use and clean. People are generally more likely to complain than give kudos. As far as the review being gimmicky- I have not tried one cup with and one without vacuum.
But the juice I refrigerate for the next day does not separate like the ones I have made with the vitamix did. I like to make one for now and one for tomorrow. You can visualize the air being pulled all through the layers of liquid. Overall, there is far less oxidation with this system than without so I am thrilled with it. One person found this helpful. This is a simple to use personal blender with FreshVac Technology that is very powerful. It also helps prolong the life of the juice.
My only complaint is that it is a louder sounding machine. I bought this blender to go to and from work with my green smoothies in the morning and it's been pretty awesome! I have to say that one of the cups that came with it leaked almost from day 1.
I was It's like 20 degrees out here sue me for putting it in my purse, it was way to cold to hold a frozen smoothie all the way to work on the metro. I don't like to "eat" on the train, so I finish whatever I didn't eat in the car at work The little green rubber seal at the bottom appeared to be damaged in some way.
I assumed wrongly that the black plastic connection could hold the cup closed. So, for several weeks, I was down to one cup, which wouldn't be that bad except that one is used to blend baby food and should be home with the nanny. I quit smoothies cold turkey. Then, I remembered Amazon's phenomenal custome rservice and went to get help with this order. Their information page directed me to call Ninja, which was immediately disappointing BUT, I got Ninja on the phone after a very short wait and was immediately told that the product was in warranty and they would mail me another one.
So, three weeks of angst when I could've just called or returned the whole kit and caboodle to Amazon. Really, I should give it a 5, but the blade is prodigiously hard to get cleaned ; Great blender.
It gets my smoothies and the baby's food reasonably textureless, which is a big deal for me. We will see how long the motor lasts. This is my first ever blender purchase, and I've got to say - I am very impressed. I grew up in a health nut family that used one of those loud Vitamix blenders that get all hot if you use them for too long, but have great blending power.
This Nutri Ninja is exactly what we needed. We're not typically grinding anything too hard though, just making smoothies with frozen fruit. I have had to run the blend cycle a couple times before just to get all the chunks blended, but it's not a big deal and is most likely due to me loading it too full.
Plus, we even had to do that with the Vitamix, so not a big deal for any blender. When we put fresh berries inside I notice it doesn't blend all the seeds, but I personally don't mind that. Didn't bother using the freshvac, as it seemed kinda gimmicky. I like that it comes with two smoothie cups and lids, and the cup itself is relatively easy to clean, but beware that gunk can get trapped under the little plastic vacuum seal portion at the bottom, so take it out to clean the cup fully.
Overall, very happy with this blender, and would recommend to anyone who loves quick smoothies. Top reviews from other countries. Translate all reviews to English. Now if it lasts me at least 3 yrs, it'd be 5 stars. I ordered this after my Ninja Pro w model finally started to have issues. I used that thing at least twice a day, even made margaritas with it on weekends, and it kept up like a champ for about 3 years.
I think I paid about the same for that one at the time as I did for this one. However, this one is more powerful, has a better cup design including measuring lines , runs a bit quieter, and has automation. I can push a button and walk away. I'd call the Freshvac stuff a bonus, but not really a reason to choose this one as it is more of a gimmick than anything else. The sticker on the machine says don't store your blends with the blade assembly on makes sense , yet as soon as you remove the blade assembly your vacuum is gone.
So how can they really promote the Freshvac idea as a way to improve "preservation"? By the way, the 2 yr warranty for six bucks more is a nice perk too.
For those who say it's noisy: Duh, it's a blender. I read another reviewer complaining about the gasket in the blade assembly which is often overlooked, not easy to get at, and a trap for bacteria. That reviewer is absolutely right!
It's a fairly wide white band made of silicone or something, and it was stained and stank so bad that even after soaking in straight bleach it didn't really come clean. The first time I soaked it in vinegar, and washed the cup and blade assembly with hot water and dish soap. But a week or two later, it was smelly again I wash it in the sink after use, not the dishwasher, and I didn't believe it would be necessary to fish out that gasket every time I use it.
So this time I soaked in bleach overnight, then gave it all a good wash and rinse. Another week later, stench of death again. I had the Ninja W Professional for years and never had this problem so it really is a design flaw. The groove around the blade assembly is very deep, and that gasket isn't really in there all that tight to prevent liquids from finding there way around it. If you don't believe me, try putting some hot water in the cup, at least half full, put the blade assembly on, shake it around for a while, then leave it upside down the same way it sits while on the base unit over night in the sink.
Next day open it up and give it a sniff. For this reason, and also now that I realize that the whole FreshVac thing is a silly gimmick haven't even put the batteries into mine, as I have literally no reason to , I'm taking my review down by 1 star.
It is easy to use once you read the instructions. It makes very smooth smoothies. It looks great, the preset from smart IQ is awesome. It looks futuristic and has plenty of power. You can use the FreshVac with batteries or with a DC cord if you have one lying around as it is not included in the box. It does include batteries in the box which is nice.
It comes with two cups 24oz and 2 lids, but only one blade. It also comes with a little booklet that has smoothie recopies and area for notes in the end. BLQUK series. BLSM Series. BLUK Series. BL Series.
